When Shawn gets into an altercation … Full Descriptionwhile selling bootleg CDs and DVDs, a con man (Terrence Howard) who witnesses the brawl takes him under his wing and introduces Shawn to NYCs underground street-fighting circuit. In these bare-knuckle battles, Shawn has a chance to win significant money–and also the heart of the beautiful Zulay (Zulay Henao). A film that goes beyond its deceptively simple title and premise, FIGHTING is elevated by the keen eye of Montiel, who also co-wrote the script with Robert Munic, and the charismatic presence of Tatum, who previously had a minor role in the writer-directors cinematic debut, A GUIDE TO RECOGNIZING YOUR SAINTS. Although the film goes through the standard up-by-the-bootstraps dramatic cycle, the performances of Tatum, Howard, and Henao make the story surprisingly compelling, and the fight sequences are exceptionally fierce, giving the movie considerable added zest. Though less high-profile than combat classics such as ROCKY and THE KARATE KID, FIGHTING fits well into the category of revered movies of the boxing/martial-arts subgenre.

At 17 Mike O’Donell was on top of the world; he was the star of his high school basketball team, and was a shoo in for a college scholarship. And is dating his soul mate, Scarlett. But on what’s suppose to be his big game wherein college scouts are checking him out, Scarlett reveals that she’s pregnant. Mike decides to leave the game and asks Scarlett to marry him which she does. During their marriage, Mike could only whine about the life he lost because he married her. So she throws him out. And when he loses his job, he returns to the only place he’s happy at – his old high school. And while looking at his high school photo, a janitor asks him if he wishes he could be 17 again and he says yes. One night while driving he sees the janitor on a bridge and apparently jumps in and he goes after him. When he returns to his friend, Ned’s house, where he has been staying, he sees that he is 17 again. He decides to take this opportunity to get the life he lost.

The series began with Mary Alice Young (Brenda Strong) leaving her perfect house, in the loveliest of suburbs, and ending it all. Now she takes us into the lives of her family, friends and neighbors, commenting from her elevated P.O.V.
Her circle of girlfriends on Wisteria Lane includes Susan Mayer (Teri Hatcher), who has finally married the love of her life but is now faced with the challenges of a blended family; Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffman), who struggles with work, health and family issues; Bree Van De Kamp (Marcia Cross) — Martha Stewart on steroids — who tries to keep her image of perfection even as everything crumbles around her; and Gabrielle Solis (Eva Longoria), the newly married ex-model who seems to have everything she has ever wanted – a rich, powerful husband, a big house — everything that is, but a husband she truly loves.
Then there are the men: Mike Delfino (James Denton), a plumber who has recently tied the knot with his longtime love, Susan; Lynette’s adorable husband, Tom (Doug Savant), who always stays by his wife’s side despite many challenges; Gabrielle’s ex-husband, Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira), who is still in love with his ex-wife; and Bree’s husband, Orson Hodge (Kyle MacLachlan), who helps Bree keep the many secrets that uphold their image as a perfect family.
From her unique vantage point, Mary Alice sees more now than she ever did alive, and she’s planning to share all the delicious secrets that hide behind every neighbor’s closed door in this seemingly perfect American suburb.
